Nesting Dolls & Transformational Growth
I believe our lives are like those nesting dolls – the ones in which there is a tiny doll inside a bigger one and then those are inside another one, and so on. Our transformational growth is about getting to that inner core, to that little doll at the center that has been buried and forgotten. Those larger dolls are representative of the personas we have taken on from the external world – who we are told we should be; things things we are told we should or should not do; the varied definitions of success, beauty and confidence; the things we are supposed to want and strive for. With all that noise, we have created these larger, false personas that disconnect us from our truth.
As we begin to realize this, we start to release the walls and weight of carrying around the external expectations and pressure to be something we are not. And as we step away from each of these personas, we get closer to our powerful, inner truth and natural beauty. We step into our own definition of success and confidence. We give ourselves permission to do what we want and live life according to our own terms.
You are a set of nesting dolls with your inner knowing, your truth, at the center. Listen, love and live more deeply and intentionally. Work towards breaking through the personas that no longer fit your life and who you are becoming, who you are meant to be for yourself, and allow your truth and your beauty that has been tucked away inside to shine through.
